Oscars and India

The verdict is finally out ... Indian's entry to the Oscars, Paheli, has been thrown out of the list of nominees - and correctly so. The movie had no chances of making it to the nominees list. The movie actually had no punch, was damn boring and was based on an asinine storyline. On the other hand, Black was all awe-inspiring, had a great cast and was supported by brilliant acting by all the actors. Still, the selectors went for Paheli.

Now we know why the world's biggest film industry has a dearth of Oscars in its kitty!!

History Repeats Itself

And this time it "repeated" itself for the 5th time. Smashing all
records, the TAPMI Systems Group (TSG) was elected as the Best Forum
2006. And that too in style - with a huge margin of 200+ points. We
have continued the tradition of our seniors and hope that our junies
continue the same. As part of the tradition of the Celebration
Ceremony, we'll again invade the most expensive restaurant in Manipal &
Udupi - Sai Paribar. And I can already hear Girish "Boss, one more
90!!"
But this would not have been possible without our Junies, who made sure
that we were able to conduct near-flawless events in a very short span
of time. Especially Lakshmeesh, who was the only one who knew ASP.
Now, even I have learnt it, thanks to him!!

Well, now to know who would would join TSG next year.
